Getting started

ZR Tech delivers 24 technology services across five practice areas: web and hosting, software and systems, search and visibility, marketing and growth, and creative. Most clients arrive with one problem, usually a website or a search ranking, and add other services once the first piece is working properly.

Send a short description of the problem through the contact form, WhatsApp or email. You get a reply the same day during business hours, then a 30 to 45 minute discovery call. After that call you receive a written scope with deliverables, exclusions and a fixed price, before any payment is discussed.

The call establishes what the business actually needs, who buys from you, what has been tried before, and what a good outcome looks like in numbers. There is no slide deck and no pitch. If the honest answer is that you do not need the service you asked about, you will hear that on the call.

Yes. Most clients are small and medium businesses in Pakistan, including single-owner operations. Small projects get the same written scope and the same handover terms as large ones. The only requirement is that the work has a clear purpose, because open-ended engagements without a defined outcome tend to disappoint both sides.

Yes, and it is common. The first step is an audit of what exists, what it was built with, and what continuing would cost against rebuilding. You receive that assessment in writing, including the case for staying with your current supplier if that is genuinely cheaper or lower risk for you.

A brochure website usually runs two to four weeks, an e-commerce build four to eight, and custom software eight weeks upward. Search and marketing work is measured in months rather than weeks because results depend on indexing and campaign learning periods. Every scope carries a timeline with named stages, not a single delivery date.

Pricing and payment

Cost depends on page count, whether content is written for you, whether payments or logins are involved, and how much custom design is needed. ZR Tech prices by scope rather than by a rate card, so you receive one fixed figure in writing before work starts. Anything not listed in that scope is not in the price.

Published packages force every project into the same shape, and the shape rarely fits. Two five-page websites can differ by a factor of four in effort depending on content, integrations and approval rounds. A written scope produces a more honest number than a package tier, and it protects you from mid-project additions.

Bank transfer, JazzCash and Easypaisa for local clients, and Wise or PayPal for international clients. Local work is invoiced in Pakistani rupees and overseas work in US dollars. Payment terms are stated in the scope document, and no work begins before the scope is approved in writing.

No. Projects are split into milestones, typically an initiation payment, one or two stage payments tied to visible deliverables, and a final payment at handover. Each milestone is attached to something you can open and review, so payment follows delivered work rather than elapsed time.

Nothing that appeared in the approved scope. Extra charges arise only when you request work outside it, such as new pages, a changed platform, or a redesign after approval. In those cases you receive a written variation with its own price before the work happens, never an adjusted invoice at the end.

Refunds depend on the stage the project has reached and what has already been delivered. Work not yet started is refundable; work delivered and approved is not. Third-party costs such as domains, hosting and ad spend are non-refundable because they are paid to other parties on your behalf.

Web and hosting

Use WordPress when your team will publish frequently and needs a familiar editor. Choose custom when performance, a specific workflow or an unusual integration matters more than editing convenience. WordPress carries ongoing update and plugin maintenance; custom carries a dependency on whoever can read the code, which is why source handover matters.

Server response time, image weight, render-blocking resources and layout stability, in roughly that order. A site on LiteSpeed with object caching, correctly sized AVIF or WebP images, inlined critical CSS and explicit image dimensions will outperform an identical site without those measures on the same hardware.

Not necessarily. Server location affects the first byte, but a well-configured server in Singapore or Dubai with caching often beats a poorly configured local one. What matters more is caching strategy, the web server software, and whether a content delivery network sits in front of static assets.

You, always. A domain registered in an agency name is the single most common way businesses lose control of their web presence. ZR Tech registers domains in the client name from the start, with the registrar login handed to you, and never holds a domain as leverage against unpaid work.

Yes, provided URLs are preserved or 301-redirected, content depth is not reduced, and internal linking survives the move. Ranking losses after redesigns almost always come from dropped pages, thinned content or broken redirect chains rather than from the new design itself.

An SSL certificate encrypts traffic between a visitor and your server, turning http into https. You need one on every site without exception, because browsers mark unencrypted pages as not secure and search engines treat https as a baseline expectation. A free certificate is included with every ZR Tech hosting setup.

Software and apps

Custom software is justified when an off-the-shelf product would need so much bending that maintaining the workaround costs more than owning the tool. If a standard product covers eighty per cent of your process and the rest can change, buy the product. If the remaining twenty per cent is your actual competitive edge, build.

You need an app when you require offline use, device hardware, push notifications or repeat daily use. For everything else a fast, installable web application does the job without app store review, two codebases, and ongoing store compliance work. Most businesses asking for an app are better served by a progressive web app.

The build is only part of it. Budget also for developer accounts, store compliance, backend hosting, and the update cycle each time Android or iOS changes requirements. A quote that covers only the initial build will understate the real annual cost, which is why ZR Tech quotes first-year total cost rather than build cost alone.

Invoicing formats, tax fields and reporting exports can be built to match current Federal Board of Revenue requirements. What no developer can promise is permanent compliance, because requirements change. The workable approach is a system whose tax logic sits in configuration rather than hard-coded, so updates are settings changes.

Through app-based check-in with location capture rather than a fixed biometric device. The design questions that matter are what happens when a phone has no signal, who approves an exception, and how the record reaches payroll. Attendance projects fail on those edge cases far more often than on the core clock-in feature.

Marketing

Set it from the value of a customer rather than a percentage of revenue. Work out what one closed sale is worth, what proportion of enquiries close, and therefore what you can afford per enquiry. That number sets the budget. Starting from a fixed monthly figure without it is guessing.

Google captures existing demand from people already searching, so it suits services people look for deliberately. Meta creates demand through interruption, so it suits visual products and impulse purchases. For most Pakistani service businesses, Google converts faster and Meta is cheaper per click. Testing both with a defined budget resolves it.

Frequency matters less than a clear offer and a recognisable format. Three considered posts a week with someone answering direct messages will outperform daily posting into silence. The common failure is treating social media as a broadcast channel when its commercial value sits almost entirely in the replies.

Usually because SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are missing or misconfigured, or because the sending domain has no reputation. List quality is the other half: sending to purchased or stale addresses produces complaints, and complaint rates drive placement more than the content of the message.

For time-bound offers and service alerts, yes, because open rates remain high and delivery does not depend on data connectivity. It requires a licensed gateway, a masked sender ID, and a consented list. Sending to scraped numbers damages the sender ID and can end the channel entirely.

Design and video

Yes. Every design engagement ends with the working files handed over, whether that is Figma, Illustrator or Photoshop, along with fonts used and a short note on how to use them. Delivering only flattened images is a way of guaranteeing repeat business, and ZR Tech does not work that way.

The scope states a number, usually three rounds against a written brief. Unlimited revisions sound generous but tend to produce worse outcomes, because they remove the pressure to decide. A tight brief and a fixed number of rounds produces a stronger result in less calendar time.

The raw footage, any brand assets, a rough idea of the running time, and the platform it will publish to, because aspect ratio and caption treatment differ between a YouTube upload and a vertical reel. Supplying footage as one large archive with a written outline saves the most time.

Support and maintenance

Core, theme and plugin updates applied on a schedule and tested before going live, off-site backups with verified restores, uptime monitoring, security patching and a named contact for problems. Content changes may be included depending on the plan. The scope states exactly which, so there is no argument later.

Message the number on your project sheet. During business hours you get a human response the same day. Every maintained site has off-site backups, so the recovery path is restore first and diagnose second, which keeps the outage short even when the cause takes longer to establish.

No. Maintenance is optional and runs month to month with no lock-in. Some clients handle updates internally and call only when something breaks. What is strongly recommended either way is that someone applies updates and verifies backups, because an unmaintained site fails without warning.

Messages sent between 10:00 and 20:00 PKT, Monday to Saturday, receive a reply from a person the same day, on whichever channel you used. Every project also names an escalation contact in writing, so an unanswered message has a defined next step rather than a dead end.

Ownership and contracts

You do, completely. The domain, hosting account, source code, database, design source files and analytics properties are registered in your name and transferred at close. There is no arrangement in which ending the relationship costs you access to your own assets.

Yes, for every custom build. Code is delivered either as a repository you own or as a complete archive with setup notes. Withholding source code is a retention tactic rather than a technical necessity, and it makes your business dependent on one supplier remaining available.

Yes. Send yours before the discovery call if the subject is sensitive, or ask for a standard mutual agreement. Client identities are treated as confidential by default, which is why the case studies on this site describe sectors and problems rather than naming the businesses involved.

Enquiry details are used to answer your enquiry and nothing else. They are never sold or shared with advertisers. Project credentials are held only as long as the work requires and are removed at handover. The privacy policy sets out retention periods and how to request deletion.

Working with ZR Tech

ZR Tech is based in Pakistan and works remote-first with clients nationwide, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala and Bahawalpur. There is no walk-in office, which keeps overheads out of your quote.

On-site visits are arranged for projects where they genuinely help, such as system rollouts, staff training or on-location filming. Travel is quoted separately and agreed in advance. For most work, a scheduled call with a shared screen achieves more in forty minutes than a half-day visit.

English and Urdu. Meetings, messages and support happen in whichever you prefer. Written deliverables such as scopes, documentation and website content are produced in English by default, with Urdu content available where the audience calls for it.

Work happens on a staging URL you can open at any time, so progress is visible rather than reported. Each stage ends with a review point where you approve before the next begins. That structure catches misunderstandings early, when changing direction is still cheap.

No guaranteed rankings, no purchased followers or reviews, no black-hat link schemes, and no work that depends on misrepresenting a client. ZR Tech also declines projects where the brief is a bad fit for the budget, because taking that work produces a poor result and a bad reference.

Because publishing unverified social proof is dishonest, and because most client work is covered by confidentiality. Rather than invent numbers, this site publishes commitments that can be checked: written scopes, ownership terms, response times and security practices. Real references are available on request during a project discussion.

Yes. Overseas clients are invoiced in US dollars through Wise or PayPal, and meetings are scheduled around your time zone within Pakistani business hours where possible. The working model is the same: written scope first, staged delivery, full handover at close.
